Celebrating Occupational Therapy Month
April 29, 2022
Closing out Occupational Therapy Month, we wanted to take this opportunity to highlight our amazing COTA at Pine Grove, Maggie Krause! She brings a smile to our residents' faces every day and is a cherished part of our team.
When asked what made her want to become an Occupational Therapist, she stated,
"I've always known that I wanted to help people and be creative at the same time. Occupational Therapy allows me to do both. I have been an Occupational Therapist Assistant for ten years, with the last four at Pine Grove. My favorite part about my job is getting to know the patients and their interests and incorporating these into their therapy sessions. I love to see the progress being made by the patients and to know that I helped with their journey."
You can tell how much our Therapy Team brightens the day of our residents when they get so excited to see them first thing in the morning. Our team members are kind and caring, and everyone in the department has a special place in our residents' hearts. We appreciate the work they do every day.
Because Maggie is so generous and goes above and beyond, she brought her food truck to the building for all our residents and staff to enjoy burgers, hot dogs and fries. We are all foodies here at Pine Grove, so we loved every second of it!
We cannot say thank you enough to Maggie. She has made such a difference in our residents' lives, and we are so lucky to have her at Pine Grove!
