Pine Grove Helps Residents Celebrate Mother's Day
May 19, 2020Geneva, Ohio - Sometimes, like on Mother's day, FaceTime or Skype doesn't feel like enough. Pictured is resident Phil and resident James with Phil's mother, Martha. Before COVID restrictions took place, Phil and his friend James would spend the weekend with Martha on multiple occasions.
As you can see in the pictures, the note says Happy Mothers Day to not only his mom but also his aunties, cousins, and sisters. The joy on their face is what reminds us all how important it is to have family and friends in our lives. The current unprecedented time has been difficult for our residents and their families. Although Phil tells us on multiple occasions that all of us here at Pine Grove are his family, there is nothing like seeing the smile on your mother's face!
One silver lining to these restrictions is that we believe that when able, residents and staff will truly appreciate and value a hug or a smile from their family and friends even more! Thank you, Martha, for coming to visit even if it has to be through glass for a little while.
